Remove Blank Pages from PDF

Find and delete the blank pages in a PDF: pages with no text and no image content are removed, everything else is kept exactly as it was.

About this tool

Duplex scans and merged exports collect empty pages — scanner backs, separator sheets, the blank verso of a one-sided letter. This tool removes a page only when it holds no embedded text and no image or form content at all, and lists every removed page number on the result card.

The definition is deliberately conservative: a scanned page always contains an image, so scanned content can never be judged blank, and the pages most at risk (a page carrying only a vector drawing) are exactly why the removed numbers are printed for a spot-check.

How to use Remove Blank Pages from PDF

  1. Choose up to 20 PDF files (20 MB each).
  2. Run — each page is checked for text and image content.
  3. Download — the result card lists exactly which page numbers were removed.

Keep the original files and inspect the exported result before publishing or sharing it.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as blank?

A page with no embedded text and no image or form XObject. A scanned page always holds an image, so scanned content pages are never removed by mistake.

What about pages with only a drawing or a stamp?

Vector drawings are page content streams, not XObjects, and a page holding only those could be judged blank. Spot-check the removed page list on the result card before discarding the original.

Can removal be undone?

Not in the output file — work on a copy and keep the original.

Are encrypted PDFs supported?

No. Encrypted or password-protected PDFs are rejected. Export an unlocked copy first.
