PDF Header & Footer

Stamp a header line at the top and a footer line at the bottom of every PDF page, in your browser.

About this tool

A running header or footer is what turns loose pages into a document: the title at the top, "Internal use only" at the bottom, on every page including the first. This tool stamps both lines, centred in the margins, in one pass.

For page numbers there is a dedicated tool that knows the totals; this one stamps fixed text. The stamps are real page content, drawn in a neutral grey that prints cleanly in black and white.

How to use PDF Header & Footer

  1. Choose up to 20 PDF files (20 MB each).
  2. Type the header and/or footer text.
  3. Download the stamped PDFs.

Keep the original files and inspect the exported result before publishing or sharing it.

Frequently asked questions

Where do the lines sit?

Centred in the top and bottom margins, in a neutral grey that prints cleanly.

Can I add page numbers too?

Use PDF Page Numbers for numbering; this tool stamps fixed text like a document title or "Internal use only".

Is the text drawn on every page?

Yes, first page included — headers and footers are branding, not cover-page content.

Are encrypted PDFs supported?

No. Encrypted or password-protected PDFs are rejected. Export an unlocked copy first.
