Video to GIF
Turn a short video segment into a looping GIF with a generated color palette.
How to use this tool
- Choose up to four supported files from your device.
- Adjust output settings. For GIF, choose a short segment and width.
- Run the conversion, preview the result and download each successful file.
Keep the original files and inspect the exported result before publishing or sharing it. Processing happens on this device; engine and library assets download when needed.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my GIF larger than the video?
GIF is often much larger than modern video. Reduce the duration, width or frame rate. Clips are limited to 15 seconds; audio is omitted.
What if the start time is past the end?
No usable frames are produced and the tool reports an error. Choose a start time within your clip. GIF supports a limited palette, so colors and gradients can change.
Are my files uploaded?
No. FFmpeg runs on your device. The engine assets download on first use; your selected media stays in browser memory. Each file is limited to 150 MiB and each batch to 250 MiB.
