AI summarizer

Summarize long text with your own OpenAI, Claude or Gemini API key. Brief, detailed or bullet-point summaries, all in your browser.

About this tool

Long articles, reports and meeting notes often need to become a paragraph before they can be shared or skimmed. This summarizer sends your text — up to 50,000 characters — to the AI provider behind your own API key and returns it in the style you choose: a brief summary of a few sentences, a detailed paragraph-style summary, or bullet points.

The request travels directly from your browser to OpenAI, Anthropic or Google; Localcraft stores nothing you paste. In practice it works well as a first pass before reading in depth, or as raw material for a briefing note. As with any AI output, factual claims in a summary deserve a spot-check against the source before you forward them.

How to use AI summarizer

  1. Add your provider API key in the key panel (stored only in your browser).
  2. Paste the text and pick a summary style.
  3. Copy the summary. Nothing you paste is sent anywhere except the provider you chose.

Keep the original files and inspect the exported result before publishing or sharing it.
