PDF Page Numbers
Stamp page numbers on every PDF page — plain, "Page n" or "n of total" — at the bottom or top, in your browser.
About this tool
Reports, contracts and print jobs regularly need page numbers the source application forgot to add. This tool stamps them on every page in three formats — plain numbers, “Page 1” style, or “1 of 12” with the document total — placed at the bottom centre, bottom corners or top centre with a safe margin.
Numbers are added as page content without altering anything else, so text and images are untouched. If the document is later merged or split, re-run the tool on the final file so the numbering follows the final page order.
How to use PDF Page Numbers
- Choose up to 20 PDF files (20 MB each).
- Pick the number format and where it should sit.
- Download the numbered PDFs.
Keep the original files and inspect the exported result before publishing or sharing it.
Frequently asked questions
What formats are there?
Plain numbers (1, 2, 3), "Page 1" style, or "1 of 12" with the document total — the format most readers and printers ask for.
Where are numbers placed?
Bottom centre by default, or bottom left/right or top centre, with a margin so they never collide with the page edge.
My PDF already has numbers in its content — what happens?
Existing printed numbers stay; this tool stamps an additional set. Merge or re-export the source if you need only one set.
Are encrypted PDFs supported?
No. Encrypted or password-protected PDFs are rejected. Export an unlocked copy first.
