PDF to HTML

Turn a PDF’s text into a clean, single-file HTML page: short lines become headings, the rest becomes paragraphs, every page its own section.

About this tool

For putting a document's words on the web, this tool converts a PDF's embedded text into a single clean HTML file: short standalone lines become headings, the rest becomes paragraphs, and every page becomes its own section with a small built-in stylesheet.

It is a text conversion, not a layout clone — images, tables and columns do not carry over. The result is a tidy draft you can edit and publish, made without uploading the document anywhere.

How to use PDF to HTML

  1. Choose up to 20 PDF files (20 MB each).
  2. Optionally set the page title.
  3. Download each .html file and open it in a browser to check it.

Keep the original files and inspect the exported result before publishing or sharing it.

Frequently asked questions

Will the HTML look like the PDF?

No. This is a text conversion: layout, columns, images, tables and styling are not reproduced. Short standalone lines become headings, other lines become paragraphs.

What about scanned PDFs?

Scanned pages have no embedded text and convert to empty sections. This tool does not perform OCR.

Is the HTML self-contained?

Yes — one file with a small built-in stylesheet, no external requests. Edit it freely; it is a starting point, not a finished web page.

Are encrypted PDFs supported?

No. Encrypted or password-protected PDFs are rejected. Export an unlocked copy first.
