AI spend analyzer

Turn your AI provider usage export into an independent cost receipt: per-model and per-day breakdowns, spike alerts and a monthly projection. Runs 100% in your browser — your billing data is never uploaded.

About this tool

AI bills have a way of surprising people: a coding agent left running overnight, an automation loop retrying against a pricey model, a $847 invoice for what looked like a quiet month. Provider dashboards show the numbers, but they rarely answer the question you actually have — where did the money go, and which day went wrong. This tool turns a usage export into that answer: an independent receipt, computed entirely in your browser.

Load a CSV from OpenAI, Anthropic or Google AI Studio and you get totals, a per-model breakdown with cost share, a daily spend chart, automatic spike alerts for days far above your median, and a rough 30-day projection. Column mapping is automatic but adjustable, amounts with $ signs, commas or parentheses are parsed, and nothing is uploaded — billing data is exactly the kind of thing that should never leave your device. Try the built-in demo dataset first to see the full report in seconds.

How to use AI spend analyzer

  1. Export usage/billing as CSV from your AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI) or try the built-in demo dataset.
  2. Load the file or paste the CSV. The tool auto-detects the date, model and cost columns — adjust them if needed.
  3. Review the breakdown: totals by model and day, spike alerts, and a 30-day projection. Download a text report.

Keep the original files and inspect the exported result before publishing or sharing it.

Frequently asked questions

Which providers are supported?

Any provider whose usage export is a CSV with a date column, a model/endpoint column and a cost column — including OpenAI, Anthropic and Google AI Studio. Column mapping is automatic but adjustable.

Is my billing data uploaded anywhere?

No. Parsing and all calculations happen in your browser tab. Your CSV never leaves your device.

What counts as a "spike"?

Any day whose spend is at least double your median day (and above $1). Those days are flagged so you can investigate what ran.

How is the monthly projection calculated?

Your average daily spend across the days in the file, multiplied by 30. It is a rough estimate, not a bill.

What if my CSV has different column names?

Use the three dropdowns to point the tool at the right columns. Amounts may include $ signs, commas or parentheses — all are parsed.
