Crop PDF

Trim the margins of every PDF page by setting a crop inset in points. Perfect for removing scanner borders.

About this tool

Scans arrive with fat white borders and office exports carry margins sized for printers you no longer own. This tool sets a uniform crop inset — in points — on every page, so readers and printers show a tighter, more readable page.

Cropping changes what is visible, not what exists: the content outside the crop box remains inside the file and must never be treated as hidden or redacted. Margins that would swallow a page are rejected, and mixed-size documents are checked page by page.

How to use Crop PDF

  1. Choose up to 20 PDF files (20 MB each).
  2. Set the margin to crop from every side, in points (36 pt = ½ inch).
  3. Download the cropped PDFs.

Keep the original files and inspect the exported result before publishing or sharing it.

Frequently asked questions

Does cropping delete content?

It sets the page crop box: readers and printers show only the cropped area. The underlying content still exists in the file — cropping is not redaction.

What margin should I use?

36 points (½ inch) removes typical scanner edges; 72 points is one inch. The tool rejects margins that would swallow the page.

Do all pages get the same crop?

Yes, the same inset on every page — mixed-size documents are checked page by page.

Are encrypted PDFs supported?

No. Encrypted or password-protected PDFs are rejected. Export an unlocked copy first.
