Extract ZIP

Open a ZIP archive in your browser and download the files inside — nothing is uploaded.

About this tool

Opening a ZIP from an unknown sender should not mean installing software or uploading the contents somewhere. This tool reads the archive in your browser, lists every entry with its size, and lets you download just the files you need.

Safety rules are built in: entries with absolute or parent-escaping paths are skipped and reported, single entries over 100 MB and archives expanding past 500 MB are refused, and encrypted archives are rejected plainly instead of being half-read.

How to use Extract ZIP

  1. Choose one ZIP file (up to 100 MB).
  2. Review the entries — folders, sizes and anything skipped for safety.
  3. Download each file you need.

Keep the original files and inspect the exported result before publishing or sharing it.

Frequently asked questions

Is anything extracted onto a server?

No. The archive is read in this tab; files download directly from your browser memory.

Why was an entry skipped?

Entries with paths that would escape the archive (../ or absolute paths) and oversized entries are refused for safety and listed as skipped.

Can it open RAR or 7z?

No — ZIP only, including ZIPs created by Windows, macOS and common tools.

What about password-protected ZIPs?

They are rejected — this tool cannot enter passwords. Extract with a desktop tool first if you need the contents here.
