Meeting tasks extractor
Turn a meeting transcript into an action list that survives the meeting: tasks with owners and real due dates, decisions, and open questions — exportable to CSV and your calendar.
About this tool
Meetings produce decisions; follow-through dies in the transcript. This extractor pulls the action items, decisions and open questions out of a transcript — pasted, or as .txt/.srt/.vtt with timestamps stripped locally — and treats owners and deadlines as data, not prose: owners are normalized against your attendee list, and the due wording is copied verbatim, then parsed on your device into a real calendar date.
That last step is the difference from a summary: dated actions export as an ICS file that drops straight into a calendar with the owner attached, while items whose deadline cannot be parsed are flagged instead of guessed. The CSV and Markdown exports carry the source line for every action, so anyone can verify an assignment against what was actually said.
How to use Meeting tasks extractor
- Add your provider API key in the key panel.
- Paste the transcript or upload a .txt, .srt or .vtt file; add the attendee list so owners are normalized.
- Run it: action items, decisions and open questions are extracted with the source line for each.
- Export the actions as CSV or Markdown, and dated items as an ICS calendar file.
Keep the original files and inspect the exported result before publishing or sharing it.
Frequently asked questions
How are due dates handled?
The model copies the due wording verbatim; the date itself is parsed locally ("next Friday", "in 3 days", "2026-11-05") into a real date for the calendar export. Items with no parseable date are flagged, not guessed.
Why the attendee list?
So "Alice" in the transcript resolves to the full name on your list, and owners stay consistent across items.
What transcript formats work?
Plain text, SRT and VTT (timestamps are stripped locally), up to roughly 100,000 characters per run, processed in chunks.
Where does the transcript go?
Only to the AI provider behind your own key, directly from your browser.
