Flatten PDF

Flatten a PDF form: field values become permanent page content that can no longer be edited.

About this tool

A filled form is only finished once its answers cannot drift. Flattening refreshes how each field looks and then bakes the fields into the page content itself: the document looks identical, but there is nothing left to edit, tab into or accidentally clear.

Use it as the last step before sending a form — and keep the unflattened original whenever you might need to change an answer. PDFs that merely look like forms (scans, print-to-PDF) contain no fields, and this tool reports that plainly.

How to use Flatten PDF

  1. Choose up to 20 PDF files (20 MB each).
  2. Run — existing field values are baked into the pages.
  3. Download the flattened PDFs.

Keep the original files and inspect the exported result before publishing or sharing it.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference from Fill PDF Form?

Fill writes new answers (and can flatten afterwards). Flatten only seals the values that are already in the form.

What if my PDF has no form fields?

The tool says so and produces nothing — a scanned form has no fields to flatten.

Can flattening be undone?

No. Keep your original if you may need to edit the fields again.

Is my form data uploaded?

No. Everything happens in this browser tab.
