AI voice generator
Turn text into natural-sounding speech with OpenAI TTS. Six voices, speed control, play in the browser and download MP3.
About this tool
Text-to-speech for short scripts, narration drafts, voice-over tests and accessibility checks, using OpenAI’s text-to-speech models through your own API key. Six voices are available — Alloy, Echo, Fable, Onyx, Nova and Shimmer — with a speed control and a choice of standard or HD models (tts-1 and tts-1-hd). The generated audio plays in the page and downloads as an MP3.
Each request is limited to 4,096 characters, which is the API’s own cap, so longer scripts are converted in sections and joined in your audio editor. You pay OpenAI’s per-character rates and Localcraft adds nothing. Whether the audio may be used commercially depends on OpenAI’s terms for your plan — check their usage policies before publishing.
How to use AI voice generator
- Add your OpenAI API key in the key panel (stored only in your browser).
- Type or paste up to 4,096 characters, pick a voice and speed.
- Generate, play, and download the MP3.
Keep the original files and inspect the exported result before publishing or sharing it.
