PDF Watermark

Stamp a text watermark — DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL, your name or brand — diagonally across every PDF page, in your browser.

About this tool

A watermark is the fastest way to label a document’s status: DRAFT for work in progress, CONFIDENTIAL for limited circulation, or a name and date for a client deliverable. This tool stamps your text diagonally across the centre of every page, sized to the page and semi-transparent so the content underneath stays readable.

The stamp is drawn as real page content rather than a switchable layer, which makes it a clear label for honest readers — but not copy protection, and the page says so. Batches of up to 20 PDFs are processed entirely in your browser.

How to use PDF Watermark

  1. Choose up to 20 PDF files (20 MB each).
  2. Enter the watermark text and pick how visible it should be.
  3. Download the stamped PDFs.

Keep the original files and inspect the exported result before publishing or sharing it.

Frequently asked questions

Can the watermark be removed?

It is drawn as real page content, so it cannot be switched off like a layer — but treat it as a label, not copy protection: a determined editor can still alter any PDF.

Where does the watermark sit?

Centred on each page, rotated 30 degrees, sized to the page. The text length adjusts the size so short words print large and long phrases still fit.

Will it cover my content?

The stamp is semi-transparent grey by design, so the page stays readable. Pick the lightest opacity for drafts you still need to read closely.

Are encrypted PDFs supported?

No. Encrypted or password-protected PDFs are rejected. Export an unlocked copy first.
