Video Trimmer

A free online video trimmer that runs entirely in your browser. Cut MP4, MOV and WebM clips with no upload and no watermark.

A trimmer with no install

A “video trimmer” usually means an app to download, an account to create, or a website that uploads your footage to someone else’s server. This one is none of those: it is FFmpeg — the industry-standard video toolkit — compiled to run inside your browser tab. Open the page, drop in a clip, set start and duration, and download the result.

What happens when you trim

This page mounts the Trim video tool. It first tries stream copy, which extracts your segment without re-encoding: maximum speed, zero quality loss, with the cut landing on the nearest keyframe. When stream copy cannot handle a file, the tool silently falls back to re-encoding the segment (H.264 ultrafast, CRF 23, AAC) for an accurate cut. Either way you get a standard MP4 back.

Good trims vs bad trims

Trimmer vs editor: when to upgrade

A trimmer covers cuts; it does not do transitions, captions or color. If you find yourself trimming the same video five times to assemble a sequence, that is the signal to open a real editor. For everything up to that point — extracting highlights, removing dead air, shortening for limits — the browser trimmer is faster than any installed app.

Private by design

Personal footage stays personal: everything is processed locally and nothing is uploaded, watermarked or counted.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install a video trimmer app?

No. This trimmer runs FFmpeg in your browser, so there is nothing to install on desktop or mobile — just open the page and drop in a video.

How precise is the trim?

Stream-copy mode cuts at the nearest keyframe (fast, lossless, may shift slightly). If that fails, an automatic re-encode produces a precise cut.

Can I trim videos on my phone?

Yes, but keep clips short: mobile browsers may terminate long processing jobs when memory runs low.

What format is the trimmed video?

MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio — the most compatible combination for sharing and embedding.

Why did my file fail?

DRM-protected or encrypted files, damaged media and unusual codecs are rejected. The 3-minute processing guard can also stop very long jobs — trim a shorter segment.

Is my footage uploaded anywhere?

Never. Only the FFmpeg engine (~32 MB) downloads on first run; your video stays on your device.
