Resize Images for Amazon

Prepare Amazon product images in bulk: batch-resize photos, pad them onto a pure white background at 1000 pixels or more on the longest side, and download a ZIP. All in your browser.

Amazon's main-image rules are unusually specific

Amazon's product image guidelines ask for a pure white background (RGB 255, 255, 255), a product filling at least 85% of the frame, JPEG as the preferred format, and at least 1,000 pixels on the longest side so the zoom feature activates. The bulk image resizer above is built for exactly this preparation: Pad to canvas with the background set to white turns a batch of up to 20 photos into uniform, compliant files with one pass, downloadable singly or as a ZIP.

Preparation is not compliance — check the frame too

The tool controls dimensions, background and format; it cannot judge whether your product fills 85% of the frame or whether the shot itself meets category rules, so review the previews at full size before uploading. It never enlarges images, which protects you from submitting upscaled files that look soft under zoom. Requirements evolve, so confirm the current guidelines in Seller Central for your category. Selling on both marketplaces? Resize images for Shopify covers the 2048-pixel square workflow, and the image compressor can slim the prepared files afterwards.

Prepared locally, uploaded by you

Resizing and padding happen entirely in your browser. Your product photography leaves your device only when you upload it to your own seller account.

Frequently asked questions

What does Amazon require for product images?

Per Amazon's product image guidelines, main images need a pure white background (RGB 255, 255, 255), the product should fill 85% or more of the frame, and images should be at least 1,000 pixels on the longest side so zoom works, with JPEG preferred. Requirements change, so verify the current rules in Seller Central.

How do I get the pure white background?

Use Pad to canvas and set the background colour to white (#ffffff), with JPEG output — JPEG has no transparency, so the padded area is solid white. The photo itself is scaled to fit, never cropped.

Will the tool enlarge a small photo to reach 1000 pixels?

No. Images are never upscaled, because enlarging cannot create detail and Amazon judges quality from the submitted file. Small originals are centred at their real size; reshoot or export larger originals instead.

How many images can I prepare at once?

Up to 20 images per batch, 20 MB each and 80 MB combined, with up to 24 megapixels per image. Download results individually or as one ZIP, then work through your catalogue batch by batch.

Are my images uploaded to Amazon or a server here?

Neither. This tool only prepares files locally in your browser; you upload the finished images to Seller Central yourself, in the usual way.
